ADVANCE NOTICE OF SEARCH AND RESERVATION COVID-19
As of December 1, 2021, any travel agency making a new request for research and reservations for their customers must first ensure that all travelers who will be on file are advised of all the statements below concerning the context of travel in COVID-19.
Please note that this must be communicated to travellers before they begin any formalities with Sentiers du Monde – Voyage Bellevue, and all its representatives and receptives in Canada and around the world:
1. A warning from the Government of Canada asking Canadians to take special health precautions for all travel (level 3) is currently in force in Canada and applies to all destinations. A warning to avoid all cruising (level 4) is still in force. It is the traveler’s responsibility to stay informed at all times by consulting Travel Reports and Warnings – Voyage.gc.ca.
2. The traveler is solely responsible for knowing the entry and exit requirements of the countries visited or in transit and solely responsible for obtaining the necessary travel documents, vaccinations and tests for entry to and exit from the countries concerned. Please note that the government of the visited country may require proof of vaccination, a negative COVID-19 test (antigenic or PCR) or an official document to be presented to the relevant authorities, such as a “health pass”, in order to gain access to certain places and activities at the destination, thus guaranteeing to the visited country that the traveler is adequately vaccinated.
It is the traveler’s responsibility to stay informed at all times by visiting https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php.
3. To date, all travelers must have a minimum of 2 doses of a Health Canada-approved vaccine to travel outside the country. Note that there are currently also mandatory 14-day confinements on arrival in many destinations, as well as on return to Canada for travelers who do not have 2 vaccines approved by Health Canada or the country visited. Note that there may be several other Covid-19 negative tests ($) (antigenic or PCR) to be taken before departure, but also at various times during the trip (airport(s) or land).
4. Upon return to Canada, the traveler must present a negative COVID-19 test (PCR mandatory), to be performed a maximum of 72 hours prior to return. In addition, all passengers returning to Canada will be required to undergo a rapid test on arrival (free of charge). The test will take place at the airport, and the traveler will have to isolate himself until the results are obtained. Other measures for returning home remain exactly the same, i.e. full vaccination required for travel, Arrivecan, PCR test 72 hours before return, etc.
5. It is now possible to take a COVID-19 test at home ($) or via video-conferencing at destination ($), with a collection kit or a self-administered test kit performed during a telehealth session with Switch Health. For full details, visit https://www.switchhealth.ca/fr/partners/aeroplan/.
6. The context in which services will be provided (air transport, hotels, cruise lines and excursionists) and the procedures to which travellers will be obliged to adhere (masks, vaccinations, health checks, etc.) are not yet known, and may change over the coming weeks and months. By making the reservation, the traveler agrees to be subject to such changes and adjustments to mandatory procedures as may occur at any time prior to departure or during the trip.
7. During this period of constant change, there may be itinerary changes on the land portions and various services to our packages, due to the COVID-19 context. Equivalent services will then be offered at the destination.
8. As different receivers and airlines have different cancellation and flexibility policies, it is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that they are appropriate prior to booking. Please note that these may change before booking, without prior notice, depending on the evolution of the pandemic situation in the destination concerned.
Thank you
